Every member of our team is passionate about horses and have owned or worked in the equine industry for over 40+ years and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the company. We pride ourselves in providing friendly helpful advice, based on what you tell us and only suggesting products that we feel your horse would benefit from. Our products are hand-made and manufactured in licensed UK premises in a controlled production environment.  EU and UK legislation governing the manufacture of animal feeding supplements are strictly adhered to. We also monitor the presence of specified naturally occurring prohibited substances (NOPS) as required by the British Horse racing Authority, FEI and other affiliated disciplines which is in line with the BETA NOPS guidelines.

All ingredients are sourced from accredited suppliers, where testing and the quality assurance of each ingredient is controlled and regulated.

Quality and consistency of your horses supplements are important to us and we use only high quality ingredients from certified companies. Our products are made with 100% natural ingredients which can result in colour and texture varying from time to time.

Operations Manager

Has worked for Global Corporate companies for 25 years in various EMEA Business Operations and Project Management roles.  She also took 2 years out of the corporate world to achieve a dream of working with horses and managed a family owned yard of six Show Jumpers and Show Ponies.  This was followed by a short career break to look after her young twins after which she decided a move into the small business world would achieve a more balance way of life.  She was offered the position of Operations Director in 2015 for an equine supplement company and increased the business turnover by 85% in three years. Zoe started riding at the age of 6 and has owned and ridden horses ever since.  Currently bringing on a young TB x Cob with the aim to event BE next year.

ADVERTISING AND MARKETING

After studying and qualifying at Agricultural College, Liddy went on to work in the equine industry for over 25 years in many disciplines including Dressage, Show Jumping, Showing, Eventing, Hunting and Polo.  As well as the horse’s day-to-day care and competition prep work it also involved backing, producing, competing and rehabilitating horses for clients.  Liddy also ran her own livery yard for many years before making the move into a ‘horsey office job’ due to the demands of family life!  Her horse Donovan is a 17 year old warm blood that she bought through her trainer from Germany as a 3 year old.  They successfully competed BD for many years and now he is now enjoying a well-earned quieter life.

SARAH – AAT

ACCOUNTS AND FINANCE

Sarah has worked in Accounts since she was 16, and completed her AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) training and became a part qualified Accountant in 2009. She worked for various sized  companies throughout her career, but prefered to work for smaller businesses to help and support them with their Bookkeeping and accounts. She joined Safe Hands Bookkeeping in  March this year, and started with Equine Science in June.  She owned her own horse for 12 years when she was younger,  and enjoyed Cross Country,  fun showing classes and gymkhanas.

JERRY – MSc MSDT

FORMULATOR

Jerry has formulated our existing product range and has worked in the Pharmaceutical, Veterinary and Animal Health Business Internationally for over 44 years. His equine experience was gained by working in Kentucky in the USA, Dubai and Qatar where he was engaged with work for the Sheikhs as well as other Middle East countries, and the Far East, including Hong Kong, Macau, Japan and Australia. Jerry also held a senior management position for a UK company who manufactured and supplied licensed equine products and had Global responsibility for 40 countries which he supplied products too. This  exposed him to Stables, Stud Farms Racing Tracks and Equine  Distributors all around the world from the USA through Europe and the Middle and Far East to New Zealand.
