Nutritional Info

Key ingredients Agnus Castus, Raspberry Leaf, Black Cohosh and B6 make this supplement an effective blend which can be fed daily or just her around her seasons.

Agnus Castus

Is ideal for mares, especially for those with hormonal imbalances. It works by influencing the pituitary gland, which regulates the production of hormones like progesterone and prolactin.

Raspberry Leaf

Ideal for mares to support reproductive health, uterine tone, and emotional calmness. It’s especially useful for moody mares, and those prone to hormone-related behavioural issues.

Black Cohosh Root

Contains phytoestrogens that interact with estrogen receptors, helping balance hormonal moods and support your mare through discomfort during seasons.

Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine HCL)

Vitamin B6 plays a vital role in protein & amino acid metabolism and supports neurotransmitter function which in return can help with mood regulation. Vitamin B6 can also help regulate Oestrogen and Progesterone.

Feeding Guidelines

1 serving = 18g (35ml Scoop)

Maintenance

Under 500kg½ - ¾ scoop once a day
500 kg – 550kg1 - 1½ scoop once a day
550kg – 600kg+1½ - 2 scoops once a day

First 3 - 5 days feed twice daily

For best results, mix with feed, store in a cool dry place in an airtight container & use within 6 months of opening. Shake regularly to avoid settling.

FAQs

What are the signs that my mare might need support in her seasons?

If you find your mares behaviour changes, becomes vocal, clingy with other horses or no longer wants to go forwards when ridden during her seasons, it could be a sign that her hormones are bothering her. Some mares become extra sensitive to ride during their seasons and this can be caused by discomfort, feeding Sensitive Mare™ alongside Bute-EZ™ can be beneficial.

Do I need to feed Sensitive Mare™ everyday?

It’s not always easy to know when your mare will come into season until its arrived and she experiences a change in her behaviour. Sensitive Mare™ can be fed daily throughout the year and benefits from being low in sugar (1.34%) & starch (<0.5%). Alternatively, you can feed the few days before, during and for a few days after her season.

Should I split the daily amount over two feeds?

It is recommended that your horse is fed its maintenance amount in one feed – do not split over two feeds. To find out your horse’s daily requirements, see the feeding guidelines.

For loading doses (the first 3-5 days of feeding), feed the required amount twice daily.

I’m not sure my horse will eat it?
