Nutritional Info
Ginger Root Powder
Ginger is an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant which helps regulate the cortisol (stress hormone) response by reducing oxidative stress. Ginger has a stimulating smell which is appealing to horses and helps increase palatability.
Flax Seed Powder
Flax Seed is rich in soluble fibre, particularly mucilage which forms a gel like coating when mixed with digestive fluids acting as a barrier against stomach acid. Flax is one of the best plant sources of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fatty acid which can support the health of the brain and nervous system.
Vitamin E (DL-a-Tocopheryl Acetate 700iu)
Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant, that plays a critical role in protecting the horse from everyday oxidative stress which is particuraly relevant for high performance horses. Vitamin E is an important nutrient that supports muscle health and protects cell membranes. In addition, it is an ‘essential vitamin’ (meaning your horse cannot synthesise it and it must be provided in the diet).

Ginger calmer to calm a ginger
I was lucky enough to win a cookie selection pack at Christmas and noticed that my horse seemed to enjoy the ginger flavour so I’ve ordered a bag. The cookies definitely help for outings in the trailer and also when she’s left alone if the horse she lives with is out competing.
