Feeding Guidelines

Calmer PRO™- Soya Free - 1 Serving = 18g (30ml scoop)

Maintenance:

Under 500kg½ - ¾ scoop once a day
500 kg – 550kg1 - 1½ scoop once a day
550kg – 600kg+1½ - 2 scoops once a day

First 3 - 5 days feed twice daily

Calmer & Cool Bites

Feed 1-2 Calmer Bites™ 1 hour before required. May be topped up every 3 hours.

Can also be fed the 2-3 days consecutively leading up to the potentially exciting or stressful situation.

Over time, your horse should gain confidence and need them less.

Can be fed alongside Calmer PRO™.

 

For best results, mix Calmer PRO™ with feed.

Store in a cool dry place in an airtight container & use within 6 months of opening. Shake regularly to avoid settling.

Due to the inclusion of natural ingredients, some specifications may vary such as colour and aroma.

FAQs

My horse is fine at home, but gets stressed travelling & at shows, do I have to feed Calmer PRO™ everyday?

Calmer PRO™ – Soya Free can be fed daily or for 2-3 consecutive days at a loading  feeding rate before known changes in routine where they will feel anxious.

Can I feed Calmer PRO™ - Soya Free with Calmer or Cool Bites™?

Yes! Calmer Bites™ & Calmer PRO™ Soya Free are made with very similar ingredients. Calmer PRO™ Soya Free is given in feed and Calmer or Cool Bites™ are handy bite sized treats, perfect for keeping on the lorry for horses with anxious behaviour.

What’s the difference between Calmer PRO™ and Calmer PRO™ Soya Free?

The formulas are exactly the same, but we’ve removed the Soya and replaced it with Milled Chia Seeds.

Should I split the daily amount of Calmer PRO™ - Soya Free over two feeds?

It is recommended that your horse is fed its maintenance amount in one feed – do not split over two feeds. To find out your horse’s daily requirements, see the feeding guidelines.

For the first 3-5 days of feeding, feed the required amount twice daily.

I’m not sure my horse will eat them?

Calmer PRO™ – Soya Free palatability samples are available on our website, so that you can ensure your horse is happy to eat it. For the Calmer Bites™ we offer a Variety Pack which includes all four flavours, so your horse can try them all and chose which they like best!
