Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)
Vitamin C is key for immune health and is an antioxidant, helping protect the brain and nervous system from oxidative damage. Vitamin C is also involved in the synthesis of Dopamine and Norepinephrine, brain chemicals that influence mood and behaviour.
Fenugreek
Fenugreek is a herb that contains a natural source of nutrients including Iron, fibre and Vitamins A, B6 & C and stimulates appetite due to it’s smell and flavour.
Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate
Zinc Sulphate is vital for healthy neurotransmitter activity, including Serotonin and Dopamine which are key brain chemicals that influence mood and behaviour.

I have used calmer bites for the past couple of years with my TB when he is being shod. Just takes the edge of him and keeps him calm and sensible during hot shoeing process. Life is better with calmer bites, stress free !

Perfect for taking the edge off
I use calmer bites in a competition setting or when I’m taking my horse into an exciting or potentially stressful situation. I find them brilliant for just taking the edge off and allowing the horse to focus and listen more easily, without having any impact on their energy levels or responsiveness.

Competition use 'Cool Bites'
We have tried numerous calmers in the past for our mare and nothing worked until we decided to try Cool Bites (Mint). We have used them on a few occasions now for competitions and we have seen a difference and she is more co-operative. For us, we used a day in advance and also on the morning and it has worked!.

Brilliant
Debbie very kindly phoned me to discuss my order of cool bites for my mare. One of my polo ponies gets so excited when being stick and balled and in a game that she stops concentrating and is too interested in what is going on around her that’s it’s hard to get her to focus. I used them for the first time, doing what it said on the packaging and despite there being a few ponies in the arena and one messing around it was like she didn’t even notice. Excellent for stressy travellers
My dressage horse used to be unreliable with loading into the lorry and would sometimes sweat up during the journey. I started giving one bite before loading and the first thing I noticed was that the sweating stopped, then the loading became more reliable. I give one bite each time he travels and now he loads first time every time and never sweats up. Happy him, happy me!

I just wanted to say thanks for a fantastic product – cool bites. Last year I was ready to sell my horse as following some nasty falls, I’d lost a lot of my confidence. After trying a few calmers, I found the cool bites and we have gone from strength to strength. In October we were chosen to represent Wales in dressage and had hoped for the same in April if it hadn’t been for COVID – hopefully we will be back with the team as soon as competitions get under way again.
