Packed with key ingredients that support gut health including Inulin, Papaya, Aloe Vera and L-Arginine, which utilises Nitric Oxide pathway precursors, helping to deliver nutrients to the entire gastric system, supporting gut mobility.
Ideal for horses showing symptoms of gastric discomfort, changes in behaviour, grass, routine and turnout and horses that travel and compete.
Can be used for part of a short or long-term feeding plan or used as and when required during times of stress or changes.
Inulin
Inulin is used to support a healthy gut by selectively encouraging certain beneficial bacteria like Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium to proliferate in the horse’s hindgut. This, in turn, can improve fibre metabolisation, nutrient absorption, and overall digestive health.
Papaya
Papaya, particularly the papain enzyme found within it, is used to support digestion and gastric health. It can help the process of protein breakdown, nutrient absorption, and stimulate salivation, which can benefit horses with digestive issues.
Aloe Vera
Helps soothe the digestive tract and is beneficial for protecting the sensitive lining of the stomach.
L-Arginine
An amino acid, converted in the body into Nitric Oxide(NO), helping to deliver nutrients to the entire gastric system.
Beta-Alanine
Beta-Alanine works in the body by producing ‘Carnosine’. This supports the horse’s ability to absorb acidification.

It works…
After using step 1 for a month and step 2 for the same, we are now onto step 3 for the second month running and we now have no issues like we were having with our boy. He was showing a reluctance and uninterested in his work, appearing lazy/not working well off the leg, a lack of impulsion in canter at times and wasn’t keeping his weight on as normal. He has now regained his weight and appears to be enjoying his work again so I will certainly be continuing to use this product. Thankyou

Amazing – highly recommend
I’m not going to lie, I was a little sceptical about trying this for my ex racer (having previously spent £750 on Peptizole when I first got her as recommended by the vet and being prescribed the same thing a year later when symptoms came back) but after calling the team and chatting it through I decided to give this a try and hold off on the Peptizole. Debbie was very knowledgeable and talked me through the step 1-3 process and 2 days later Gastro Step 1 arrived. Literally 3 days later I had a different horse and it was obvious she was so much more comfortable. I did step 1 for 2 months, then moved onto step 2 for a further month and for the last 4 months she has been on the maintenance step 3 with no issues. I still can’t believe how this product has transformed my horse, it really is amazing.

Absolutely thrilled
This product has transformed my 12 year old warmblood dressage horse who can be very sharp and spooky when ridden. Also never settled in the field and I would always be worried what he would be up to.

Great Product
I have tried numerous gut suppliments for my 21 year old gelding after he was scoped clear of ulcers a few years ago but they never seem to last, he always ends up girthy again. I have been using the Gastro step 1 and I can already see the difference!

Great product
