Soft Tissue Support™

(39 customer reviews)

Soft Tissue Support™ helps support the health of tendons and ligaments and recovery from soft tissue injuries. High in natural anti-inflammatories, antioxidants, vitamins and amino acids, this formula supports blood flow, collagen synthesis and management of oxidative stress.

It is formulated with ingredients to help support the production of collagen, the main structural protein in cartilage, ligaments and tendons.

Natural anti-inflammatories can target inflammatory pathways and oxidative stress during periods of rehab and box rest and after exercise.

Nutritional Info

Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)

Vitamin C helps regulate inflammatory cytokines and enzymes that break down cartilage. It is also vital in the production of Collagen, the main structural protein in cartilage, ligaments and tendons. It is a powerful antioxidant, neutralising free radicals which can damage cartilage, synovial fluid and joint tissues.

L-Proline

L-Proline is a non essential amino acid which plays a crucial role in Collagen production, the main structural protein in tendons & ligaments. L-Proline can also help in rebuilding damaged tissues, and supports the bodys antioxidant defence, helping to protect tissues from oxidative stress.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is rich in antioxidants, which can help neutralize free radicals produced during exercise or injury. Cinnamon contains the compounds polyphenols, which have natural anti-inflammatory effects.

L-Arginine

L-Arginine is converted in the body into nitric oxide. Nitric oxide causes blood vessels to open wider for improved blood flow. Better circulation means more oxygen and nutrients can reach injured tissues. As a building block for protein and collagen, L-Arginine can help support muscle, tendon, ligament, and skin repair.

Turmeric

The active compound in turmeric is Curcumin and is a powerful natural anti-inflammatory compound. The antioxidant properties can help neutralize free radicals and manage oxidative stress.

Zinc Sulphate

Zinc Sulphate supports the development and function of white blood cells to help immune function and is crucial for tissue repair.

FAQs

What are the signs of soft tissue damage?

While lameness may not always be present, there can be other signs that can indicate soft tissue damage including heat and swelling in the leg or your horse being reactive when touching this area.

How long should my horse stay on Soft Tissue Support™?

If your horse is recovering from a soft tissue injury, Soft Tissue Support™ can be fed throughout their rehabilitation and is safe to feed ongoing when they are back to their normal routine. Some owners feed their horses Soft Tissue Support™ as a preventative measure, especially during competition seasons when the ground is firmer and the tendons & ligaments may need more support.

What’s the difference between Supple Xtra™, Soft Tissue Support™ and Bute-EZ?

Supple Xtra™ is fed to maintain healthy joints.

Soft Tissue Support™ is used to support the health of tendons & ligaments and for the recovery of soft tissue injuries.

Bute-EZ™ is a natural anti-inflammatory for horses who require ongoing support, those on box rest or the veteran horse to help maintain ease of movement.

Should I split the daily amount over two feeds?

It is recommended that your horse is fed its maintenance amount in one feed – do not split over two feeds. To find out your horse’s daily requirements, see the feeding guidelines.

For loading doses (the first 3-5 days of feeding), feed the required amount twice daily.

I’m not sure my horse will eat it?

Palatability samples are available on our website, so that you can ensure your horse is happy to eat it.

    Perfect for competing

My horse does get some competition nerves but giving him a calmer bite the night before and on the morning of a competition just takes the edge off those nerves. He comes off the lorry chilled and really rideable & they certainly don’t take any energy away that he needs. Love them!

    Used for a tendon injury

I was recommended equine exceed by a friend as they are based locally with us. I had a phone call and expressed my needs and within the hour my order was ready to pick up from the office.

I used this to assist in my pony’s recovery of a tendon injury and upon scanning the tendon after 2 months my vet was super pleased with the progress and was happy to report that the hole was repairing on schedule.

Would 100% use again if god forbid another horse does a tendon!

  7. Nadine

    Excellent product

My horse suffered a front suspensory strain in mid October, I was recommended soft tissue support by a friend who had good results, to help with healing. I started it straight away. Today, less than 5 months post injury I had the best vet visit stating “no abnormalities presen in suspensory”! My horse is now signed off and can complete work to same level as before, no long term impact. I believe this supplement has been important in his recovery.

    Unbelievable Difference

This supplement has been a godsend in helping our EMS mare recover from cold induced laminitis. Having used bute which didn’t appear to have much of a positive effect, we switched to Nitrox Pro and noticed a big difference in less than a week. Highly recommend for any frost/cold induced laminitics!

  9. Lesley

    Nitrox pro

Amazing results yet again after a second attack of laminitis.
The first one was 9 years ago after steroid injections in the hocks.
This time it was in the December after the temperatures dropped to -6. We think this caused the laminitis. I reached out to nitrox plus as there’s no supplement like it. Our mare is now twenty year old soon in may. She’s now trotting around like a two year old.

    Ginger Calmer Bites

The calmer bites have been a game changer for me and my pony. He can be an anxious boy, especially when hacking which shows in tension and spooking. I have used these bites three times now before hacking on unknown trails. He has been much calmer, not reacting to things he normally would react to but still having plenty pep in his step. I don’t know why I waited so long to try these!!
