Soft Tissue Support™

(39 customer reviews)

Soft Tissue Support™ helps support the health of tendons and ligaments and recovery from soft tissue injuries. High in natural anti-inflammatories, antioxidants, vitamins and amino acids, this formula supports blood flow, collagen synthesis and management of oxidative stress.

It is formulated with ingredients to help support the production of collagen, the main structural protein in cartilage, ligaments and tendons.

Natural anti-inflammatories can target inflammatory pathways and oxidative stress during periods of rehab and box rest and after exercise.

Nutritional Info

Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)

Vitamin C helps regulate inflammatory cytokines and enzymes that break down cartilage. It is also vital in the production of Collagen, the main structural protein in cartilage, ligaments and tendons. It is a powerful antioxidant, neutralising free radicals which can damage cartilage, synovial fluid and joint tissues.

L-Proline

L-Proline is a non essential amino acid which plays a crucial role in Collagen production, the main structural protein in tendons & ligaments. L-Proline can also help in rebuilding damaged tissues, and supports the bodys antioxidant defence, helping to protect tissues from oxidative stress.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is rich in antioxidants, which can help neutralize free radicals produced during exercise or injury. Cinnamon contains the compounds polyphenols, which have natural anti-inflammatory effects.

L-Arginine

L-Arginine is converted in the body into nitric oxide. Nitric oxide causes blood vessels to open wider for improved blood flow. Better circulation means more oxygen and nutrients can reach injured tissues. As a building block for protein and collagen, L-Arginine can help support muscle, tendon, ligament, and skin repair.

Turmeric

The active compound in turmeric is Curcumin and is a powerful natural anti-inflammatory compound. The antioxidant properties can help neutralize free radicals and manage oxidative stress.

Zinc Sulphate

Zinc Sulphate supports the development and function of white blood cells to help immune function and is crucial for tissue repair.

FAQs

What are the signs of soft tissue damage?

While lameness may not always be present, there can be other signs that can indicate soft tissue damage including heat and swelling in the leg or your horse being reactive when touching this area.

How long should my horse stay on Soft Tissue Support™?

If your horse is recovering from a soft tissue injury, Soft Tissue Support™ can be fed throughout their rehabilitation and is safe to feed ongoing when they are back to their normal routine. Some owners feed their horses Soft Tissue Support™ as a preventative measure, especially during competition seasons when the ground is firmer and the tendons & ligaments may need more support.

What’s the difference between Supple Xtra™, Soft Tissue Support™ and Bute-EZ?

Supple Xtra™ is fed to maintain healthy joints.

Soft Tissue Support™ is used to support the health of tendons & ligaments and for the recovery of soft tissue injuries.

Bute-EZ™ is a natural anti-inflammatory for horses who require ongoing support, those on box rest or the veteran horse to help maintain ease of movement.

Should I split the daily amount over two feeds?

It is recommended that your horse is fed its maintenance amount in one feed – do not split over two feeds. To find out your horse’s daily requirements, see the feeding guidelines.

For loading doses (the first 3-5 days of feeding), feed the required amount twice daily.

I’m not sure my horse will eat it?

Palatability samples are available on our website, so that you can ensure your horse is happy to eat it.

    This works

I do feel this has benefited my lami prone cob, he has been sore and limpy for a while, throwing shapes like a unicorn now! I won’t be stopping this

  2. Julie Dillon

    Brilliant travel calmer

Following a motorway blowout last year, my mare was more anxious loading/travelling – but by giving her bites prior to travel, she is much more relaxed, travels calmly and arrives happy and ready for work.

    Amazing!!

First time using any calming additives and really amazed at how they work. My horse is so much calmer, pays me more attention and stays with me when we are working. Definitely less anxious and not seeing the “ghosts” everywhere. Definitely works for me and my horse. Thank you

  4. Bev Snarey (verified owner)

    Great product for rehab

My gorgeous 17 yr old ex hunter has an injury requiring 8 weeks of gentle turnout without running around. He has a ginger cookie each morning and this has been brilliant at keeping him calm and at ease whilst at grass. My friend recommended these to me and she uses them to compete her psg horse with excellent results.

    Incredible

RalphV has been on box rest for almost 4 months and Nitrox Pro has been keeping his circulation and blood flow going due to his lack of movement. A real worth it product and doing exactly what it says on the bag! Thank you. So thank you very very much from Zoe and Ralph.x

    Great supplement

Have seen huge improvements in my mare who can go alittle short in front when I more schooling work. Since having this supplement she feels amazing, schools perfectly.

    He’s feeling so much better

Following a period of intermittent lameness I popped up to get some advice from the dab team at Equine Exceed and they suggested the Tissue Support to aid recovery.

Definitely worth a try with a horse with a soft tissue injury/tear. They eat it up well too and hoping it will help make a stronger repair.
