Packed with key ingredients that support gut health including Inulin, Papaya, Aloe Vera and L-Arginine, which utilises Nitric Oxide pathway precursors, helping to deliver nutrients to the entire gastric system, supporting gut mobility.
Ideal for horses showing symptoms of gastric discomfort, changes in behaviour, grass, routine and turnout and horses that travel and compete.
Can be used for part of a short or long-term feeding plan or used as and when required during times of stress or changes.
Inulin
Inulin is used to support a healthy gut by selectively encouraging certain beneficial bacteria like Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium to proliferate in the horse’s hindgut. This, in turn, can improve fibre metabolisation, nutrient absorption, and overall digestive health.
Papaya
Papaya, particularly the papain enzyme found within it, is used to support digestion and gastric health. It can help the process of protein breakdown, nutrient absorption, and stimulate salivation, which can benefit horses with digestive issues.
Aloe Vera
Helps soothe the digestive tract and is beneficial for protecting the sensitive lining of the stomach.
L-Arginine
An amino acid, converted in the body into Nitric Oxide(NO), helping to deliver nutrients to the entire gastric system.
Beta-Alanine
Beta-Alanine works in the body by producing ‘Carnosine’. This supports the horse’s ability to absorb acidification.

Starting the right way
Having only been with me 2 weeks I got on the phone to the lovely Debbie for a recommendation about what could help this boy. Having only come off the track a few days before I had him. He is race fit and lean but also had lots of little niggles. He’s been on Gastro step 1 for two weeks and he’s already changed his behaviour and is settling in. He’s more interested in food and clearly a lot happier in himself. He’s already putting weight on and feeling more relaxed. Highly recommend.

My beautiful youngest was showing signs of discomfort when being groomed and rugged she had suffered with gastric issue in the past and had been treated under the vet she is extremely fussy with her feed and can spot a change in seconds I had used the Step 123 with a previous horse with great success so I thought I would give it a try… certainly haven’t been disappointed she gobbled it up and is so much happier and content, now hacking alone and relaxed… The team at Equine Exceed are so helpful and knowledgeable.

Gastro step 1 has just transformed a young mare we are working. Approx 3 months in to her working career the mare changed quite drastically. We tried her on the Sensitive Mare product which did help a bit but clearly mot enough. When the farrier said we must practice more pulling her front legs forward as she really gets difficult when he is doing this – my thought went to why this would be. I decided to try her on the Gastro as with the stomach situated where it is it could explain why she does not want to bring her front legs forward. Within three feeds the mare had started to improve and ow after ten days she is totally back to normal working and is no problem with her front legs neing pulled forward. She is a little mare who always carries plenty of condition and not one that i would ever look at and say that mare will have ulcer or hind gut problems. Never judge a book by its cover !! Thank you Equine Exceed for making this talented mare a happy horse in her life again. She will be on the Gastro for quite a while now !

I was recommended to try this supplement by a friend, my horse was diagnosed with and treated for ulcers. I was first sent a trial size and not sure if it worked or not but decided to continue and I am now nearly six weeks in and it seems to be working as he is not so sensitive over his flanks and seems more comfortable in himself.
