Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)
Vitamin C is key for immune health and is an antioxidant, helping protect the brain and nervous system from oxidative damage. Vitamin C is also involved in the synthesis of Dopamine and Norepinephrine, brain chemicals that influence mood and behaviour.
Peppermint Leaf Powder
Peppermint encourages fussy horses to eat, and contains menthol, which can help to soothe the digestive tract, reduce gas, and provide support for horses suffering with digestive issues which can lead to behavioural issues.
Flax
Flax Seed is rich in soluble fibre, particularly mucilage which forms a gel like coating when mixed with digestive fluids acting as a barrier against stomach acid. Flax is one of the best plant sources of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fatty acid which can support the health of the brain and nervous system.

Not only does this calm my horse so she’s less reactive but she’s obviously less stressed internally as well as this is the first year she hasn’t needed acid ease to calm her acid stomach too! Win win!

Excellent Product – try it you wont be disappointed
My daughtes pony (Welsh B x Arab) started to show signs of ulcers shortly after buying him and having him with us for a few weeks. We spoke to Equine Exceed over the phone who suggested we try Gastro Step 1 and saw a noticeable difference within a couple of weeks. After speaking again to EE we continued him on Step 1 for a further month during which time he kept on improving and was far more comfortable in his work, the sharpness disappeared and his willingness to work improved with it. We continued with Step 2 and are now on Step 3 with no ulcer or discomfort signs creeping back. SO pleased we gave this a go as gastroscopy wasn’t an option finacially for me but this I can afford. I also give this to our Welsh A who has sloppy poos sometimes and can see a difference in his poos firming up within a few days. This really does work – please please give it a go, you won’t regret it!

Box rest peace of mind
I have steady eddy who doesn’t require a calmer for ridden work but as he is on a short period of box rest I thought this might provide useful back up having seen it used to good effect on another horse on the yard. Horse is happy and coping so I’m happy and coping!

I have been stocking the bites for a while at my events centre, if you buy the big tubs you get (or used to) a tub of pro for free. Last Sunday my neighbour let off fireworks, my already super sharp sensible pony went bat shit crazy, the only way I could calm her was to take her out of her stable to join her best friend on another part of the yard. So now fearing she will jump out of her skin anytime anyone knows the local area set off fireworks (worth noting previous years no fireworks bothered her but then they were not let off right behind her stable) I have fed a scoop per feed of Pro every day. Friday night the village had a major display, it was loud with music. I chose to muck her out at this time and gave her a haynet and she didn’t have a care in the world so thank you so much for bringing this product to market!
