Packed with key ingredients that support gut health including Inulin, Papaya, Aloe Vera and L-Arginine, which utilises Nitric Oxide pathway precursors, helping to deliver nutrients to the entire gastric system, supporting gut mobility.
Ideal for horses showing symptoms of gastric discomfort, changes in behaviour, grass, routine and turnout and horses that travel and compete.
Can be used for part of a short or long-term feeding plan or used as and when required during times of stress or changes.
Inulin
Inulin is used to support a healthy gut by selectively encouraging certain beneficial bacteria like Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium to proliferate in the horse’s hindgut. This, in turn, can improve fibre metabolisation, nutrient absorption, and overall digestive health.
Papaya
Papaya, particularly the papain enzyme found within it, is used to support digestion and gastric health. It can help the process of protein breakdown, nutrient absorption, and stimulate salivation, which can benefit horses with digestive issues.
Aloe Vera
Helps soothe the digestive tract and is beneficial for protecting the sensitive lining of the stomach.
L-Arginine
An amino acid, converted in the body into Nitric Oxide(NO), helping to deliver nutrients to the entire gastric system.
Beta-Alanine
Beta-Alanine works in the body by producing ‘Carnosine’. This supports the horse’s ability to absorb acidification.

Have tried most of the calming supplements on the market over the years and this is the only one that makes our little sports pony rideable – she is sharp and lives on her nerves, bit hugley talented….we have her on the daily dose and then a few cookies before a copmpetition and is just keeps her calm and focused enough to do the job but does not affect performance at all Been using for 4 months now and would not do without it.

Gastro Step 1
Cannot recommend highly enough! I initially started using Step 1 on my veteran mare a few years ago when she dropped condition & showed signs of ulcers. The difference within 2 weeks was amazing & I have used the Gastro Range ever since stepping up & down in strength as needed. So when my younger mare starting showing signs of hindgut discomfort I had no hesitation in starting her on Step 1 too. The difference in her ridden performance was visable in days, so much so that it inspired other liveries at the same yard to start using it & now they are also converted! Debbie is always more than happy to offer advice to new & existing customers & is always on hand to take your call. After maintaining them on step 2 I recently upped them back up to Step 1 for a couple weeks whilst we move yards to help with the stress of moving and transition to lush clay grass from starved sand soil paddocks. The move went really well & they both settled in to their new surroundings & routines with no issues thanks to Debbie & her Equine Exceed products 🙂
